1. Introduction

Coastline Charging Inc., doing business as rohm (“Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) operates rohm, a marketplace for mobile DC fast charging. The Platform currently includes the rohm website at rohmev.com, rohm Terminal (“Terminal”), and may in the future include a mobile application (which may be listed in app stores as “rohm EV”), APIs, and related services (collectively, the “Platform”).

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use any part of the Platform. By using rohm, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

In this Policy, a “Provider” means an independent mobile DC fast charging business listed on the rohm marketplace. Providers may also be referred to elsewhere as “operators.” For clarity, this Policy uses “Provider” throughout when referring to the entity.

2. Who This Policy Covers

This Policy applies to everyone who uses the Platform. For convenience, the most relevant sections by audience are:

3. Information We Collect

From Website Visitors

When you visit rohmev.com, we collect anonymous analytics data as described in Section 6 (Website Analytics & Cookies). We do not require you to create an account or provide personal information to browse the public marketplace, view Provider listings, or use the map.

From Chat Assistant Users

When you use a rohm chat assistant (our “Agents”), we process the messages and any optional vehicle or context details you choose to provide in order to generate a response and maintain your conversation. Conversations are associated with a temporary session identifier stored in your browser and are not linked to an account unless you have one.

  • Business name and contact information
  • Service area and geographic coverage

  • Pricing and payment information

For information collected specifically through the Terminal waitlist, sales inquiries, and Terminal accounts, see Section 7 (Terminal).

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the public marketplace and Provider listings
  • Display Provider service areas, links, and related information on the map
  • Review and manage Provider listings
  • Communicate with Providers about their listings and the Platform
  • Operate and improve Terminal, including waitlist management, scheduled calls, account setup, and dispatch (see Section 7)
  • Improve and personalize the user experience
  • Operate, secure, and improve our chat assistants and the responses they provide
  • Detect and prevent fraud or abuse
  • Comply with legal obligations

When in-platform transactional features are available, we may additionally use information to:

  • Match customers with nearby Providers
  • Process payments and facilitate payouts
  • Enable real-time tracking during charging sessions
  • Send push notifications about session status

5. Location Data

Location data usage varies depending on how you interact with the Platform:

  • Website visitors: We collect approximate geographic location (city or region level, derived from IP address) through analytics tools as described in Section 6.
  • Customers (future app): Location will be collected when you use the app to show nearby Providers and when you request a charge.
  • Providers (future app): Location will be collected while you are online and available, and during active sessions to enable real-time tracking for customers.

For app users, you can disable location services in your device settings, but this may prevent you from using certain features.

6. Website Analytics & Cookies

When you visit our website at rohmev.com, we collect anonymous analytics data using first-party cookies and similar technologies. This data helps us understand how visitors find and use our site, and how it performs in the real world. Specifically, we collect:

  • Pages viewed and time spent on each page
  • Approximate geographic location (city or region level, derived from IP address)
  • Device type, browser, and operating system
  • The referring URL that brought you to our site
  • Anonymous identifiers stored in first-party cookies

We rely on Google Analytics 4 for anonymous traffic reporting, Microsoft Clarity for anonymous session recordings and heatmaps, and Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights for cookieless visitor counts and real-world performance metrics. We have disabled Google Signals and have not connected any of these tools to advertising platforms.

Microsoft Clarity automatically masks sensitive form input before any data is recorded. In addition to the first-party cookies set on rohmev.com, Clarity may set third-party cookies on Microsoft domains, including a pseudonymous identifier called MUID that Microsoft uses across its services.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings, or enable Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control if your browser supports it. We do not currently use advertising or targeting cookies. If we introduce sponsored content or programmatic advertising in the future, we will update this policy and provide a clear opt-out mechanism at that time.

7. rohm Terminal

Terminal is a subscription product for enterprise and fleet customers. This section consolidates the data we collect and use across the Terminal lifecycle — from the waitlist through scheduled calls, account setup, fleet onboarding, billing, and future dispatch. The other sections of this Policy also apply.

7.1 Waitlist and Sales Inquiries

When you join the Terminal waitlist or request a call with our team, we collect the information you submit:

  • Work email and company name
  • For a scheduled call: your name and preferred day, time, and time zone

You provide this information voluntarily. We use it to respond to your inquiry, hold any requested call, and send early-access updates you asked to receive. We use Resend to deliver these emails. You can request removal from the waitlist or the sales pipeline at any time by emailing support@rohmev.com.

7.2 Account and Fleet Information

When Terminal accounts become available, we will collect, in addition to the information described in Section 3:

  • Company details (name, billing contact, billing address)
  • Fleet vehicle information you add (make, model, year, connector type, any vehicle identifiers you choose to associate)
  • Account user information for people you authorize to use your Terminal
  • Payment method on file, handled by Stripe (we receive only the last 4 digits and card brand)

7.3 Billing

Terminal subscriptions and any charging session pass-through payments are processed through Stripe. Card details never touch our servers. We retain billing records (invoices, totals, plan tier, activation status) as needed to operate the subscription and meet legal and tax obligations.

7.4 Dispatch and Session Data (Future)

When Terminal dispatch goes live, we will additionally process:

  • The service location for each request (drop-pin or address)
  • Vehicle information selected for the request
  • The Provider routed to the job and the timestamps for request, acceptance, arrival, and completion
  • Pricing details for the session at the pre-negotiated rate

We use this information to route jobs, give your team an ETA, settle the session with the performing Provider, and measure performance against the Terminal service standard described in our Terms.

7.5 Sharing With Providers

When a Terminal request is routed to a Provider, we share with that Provider only what they need to perform the service — typically the service location, vehicle and connector details, and a point-of-contact. Provider payouts are handled through Stripe Connect.

7.6 Retention and Deletion

We retain Terminal-related personal information for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period thereafter for legal, tax, dispute-resolution, and security purposes. You can request deletion of account information at any time by emailing support@rohmev.com, subject to the limits described in Section 9 (Data Retention).

8. Third-Party Services and Links

We share information with the following third-party services:

  • Google Analytics: Anonymous web traffic analytics for our website
  • Microsoft Clarity: Anonymous session recordings and heatmaps for our website
  • Vercel: Website hosting, anonymous web analytics, and performance monitoring
  • Stripe: Payment processing, identity verification, Terminal subscription billing, and Provider payouts
  • Supabase: Database and backend infrastructure
  • DigitalOcean: Backend infrastructure and orchestration for our chat assistants
  • Modal: Model computation that powers chat assistant responses
  • Resend: Email delivery, including Terminal waitlist and sales communications

These services have their own privacy policies governing their use of your data.

The rohm marketplace contains links to third-party Provider websites. When you click through to a Provider's website, you are subject to that Provider's privacy policy, not ours. We encourage you to review the privacy practices of any third-party website you visit.

9. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active, your Provider listing is live, your Terminal subscription is active, or as needed to provide you services. We may retain certain information for longer periods as required by law or for legitimate business purposes, such as resolving disputes or enforcing our agreements.

Anonymous website analytics data is retained according to the retention policies of the respective analytics providers. Session data (when available) is retained for a reasonable period for service improvement and dispute resolution purposes.

Chat assistant conversations may be retained to operate, secure, and improve the assistants.

10. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information. Payment card details are handled entirely by Stripe and never touch our servers. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your personal information
  • Object to or restrict certain processing activities
  • Request a copy of your data in a portable format

To exercise these rights, please contact us at support@rohmev.com.

12. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):

  • The right to know what personal information is collected, used, shared, or sold
  • The right to delete personal information held by businesses
  • The right to opt-out of the sale of personal information
  • The right to non-discrimination for exercising your CCPA rights

We do not sell personal information. To exercise your CCPA rights, contact us at support@rohmev.com.

13. Children's Privacy

The Platform is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected personal information from a child under 13, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the “Last updated” date. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
