Coastline Charging Inc. ("Company," "we," "our," or "us") operates rohm, a marketplace for on-demand mobile EV charging (the "Platform"). The Platform includes the rohm mobile application, which may be listed in app stores as "rohm EV." This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Platform.

By using rohm, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2. Information We Collect

From All Users

  • Email address
  • Full name
  • Device tokens (for push notifications)
  • Device information and app usage data

From Customers

  • Vehicle information (make, model, year, connector type)
  • Payment method (processed securely through Stripe; we only see the last 4 digits and card brand)
  • Location data when using the app
  • Default charge amount preferences

From Service Providers

  • Service vehicle information (make, model, year)
  • Charger specifications (manufacturer, kW output)
  • Connector types supported (e.g., CCS, CHAdeMO, NACS)
  • Service parameters (pricing, max travel distance)
  • Location while online and during active sessions
  • Stripe Connect account information (for payouts)
  • Identity verification data (processed by Stripe)

Session Data

  • Customer location (service location)
  • Provider route and real-time location during sessions
  • Timestamps (request, accept, arrive, complete)
  • Pricing and payment information

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain our services
  • Match customers with nearby service providers
  • Process payments and facilitate payouts
  • Enable real-time tracking during charging sessions
  • Send push notifications about session status
  • Improve and personalize the user experience
  • Communicate with you about updates, support, and promotional offers
  • Detect and prevent fraud or abuse
  • Comply with legal obligations

4. Location Data

Location data is essential to our service. We collect location information as follows:

  • Customers: Location is collected when you use the app to show nearby providers and when you request a charge
  • Providers: Location is collected while you are online and available, and during active sessions to enable real-time tracking for customers

You can disable location services in your device settings, but this will prevent you from using rohm's core features.

5. Third-Party Services

We share information with the following third-party services:

  • Stripe: Payment processing, identity verification, and provider payouts
  • Mapbox: Maps, navigation, and location services
  • Supabase: Database and backend infrastructure
  • Apple Push Notification service (APNs): Push notifications

These services have their own privacy policies governing their use of your data.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. We may retain certain information for longer periods as required by law or for legitimate business purposes, such as resolving disputes or enforcing our agreements.

Session data (including location history) is retained for a reasonable period for service improvement and dispute resolution purposes.

7. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information. Payment card details are handled entirely by Stripe and never touch our servers. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your personal information
  • Object to or restrict certain processing activities
  • Request a copy of your data in a portable format
